Marina Molo Luise is the selected location for VIPs attending Dolce & Gabbana event

The Campania Region of Italy, and in particular Naples, has opened the Mediterranean cruising season in spectacular fashion with a 50% increase during the month of May in the number of super yachts visiting the region. Marina Molo Luise, in the heart of downtown Naples, is the confirmed preferred location for owners and captains visiting the area, and has established its role as the principle protagonist for Hollywood stars and international leaders of business and industry.

Armani, Arnault, Braun, Abramovich, De Benetti, JK Rowling, Della Valle and Hollywood stars Will Smith and Denzel Washington, along with members of the English and Arab royal families, are among those who have most recently selected Marina Molo Luise, and Naples, as their preferred location for their super yachts this cruising season. The list of visiting dignitaries is long and prestigious, and it is just the start for the Mediterranean cruising season.

From July 2 – 10, Marina Molo Luise will once again be center stage as the preferred port for prestigious superyachts, during an exclusive Dolce & Gabbana event. “The entire city of Naples will be featured on an international stage,” confirmed Francesco Luise, Manager of the Luise Group, which is the leading marine agency service provider for the super yacht industry in Italy. The Luise Group, with 35 offices along the Italian coastline, is proud to offer a full gamma of 24-hour VIP concierge services to the industry.

“The incredible patrimony that the Gulf of Naples offers is confirmed by the number of yachts present in the city, and is consistently raising Naples’s position to the top of the international stage. Art, history, culture, local traditions and folklore, combined with a wide range of prestigious high level tourism options, Naples, has reconfirmed this year, it’s position as the point of reference of excellence for owners and captains visiting the Gulf of Naples with their super yachts.”

“There are several other important growth trends also being seen in the ports of Ostia, Rome, Civitavecchia, Riposto, Taormina, Palermo, the Aeolian Islands and Porto Cervo,” said Francesco Luise. “And we can’t forget to mention the continued popularity of Portofino and the Cinque Terre,” he continued. “The preferred locations of yacht owners this summer seem to be the coast of Italy and Spain. Naples, however, is a highlight with owners appreciating the cultural and historical offerings of the city, top level provisioning and the strategic location close to an international airport connecting the city to all of Europe.”

The Luise Group since 1847 has committed itself to promoting the local territory. Thanks to strategic marketing campaigns showcasing the cultural patrimony and high level of services available to the yachting industry, which started during the Grand Tour, the city today is a must see stop for the super yacht industry.

“The market is continually pushing towards the construction of bigger and bigger yachts,” said Francesco Luise. “The market is in continued evolution and our clients, which range from 20 meters to over 150 meters, are our number one priority.”
